Theres a girl who likes her coffee,
In a very special way,
She likes her coffee in a latte, Ive got that memorized

She comes in here every morning,
I politely say how are you?
She lookes up at the  order board,
God,see  the color of her eyes,

Makes me wanna kiss and hug her,
So today she came in her sweater,
Her favorite light pink sweater,
That she wears every  Wednesday.

Yes today at 8:11,
When I greeted her as usual,
She said Fine, and my name is Kristin,
I didn’t know what to say.
She thanked me for the extra foam, and I watched her slowly walk away…

She said her name was Kristin,
Yes, her name is a thing that  I love to say…

And so earlier this morning I told my dearest Kristen,
That I was playing with my band in a bar

And I thought I would surprise her, with a triple latte,
And I flipped the little lever, and she smiled at me and grinned,
I knew she knew my present, so I went a small step further
And I hope she felt the feelings behind that cup of brew,
She asked me when my gig was, and then asked me for a napkin, please
I said to keep her money, because that triple latte was on me.
